Have you already heard that Ukrainian girls are the most beautiful in the world? Of course you've heard about it. It's so well-known that if you type Ukraine in Google the first thing you see is "Beautiful Ukrainian girls". Everybody knows that.
What you probably don't know yet is that the most beautiful girls in Ukraine live in Odessa, the city on the Black Sea coast. Haven't been to Odessa yet? You should come here, at least for a couple of days - and you won't want to leave.
How to meet your perfect one. The most obvious way to meet a Ukrainian girl goes through one of marriage agencies. Their catalogues contain thousands of beautiful faces, from 18 to 80 years old. An agency will provide you with a translation service, will send flowers and presents on your behalf, and will even organize a tour for you when you finally decide to meet the girl in person.
The main disadvantage of this approach is that you never know to whom you really are talking. You don't see the living person; you can't actually talk to her. All you have is her retouched carefully chosen photos, which might well be 10 years old, and her letters, translated by some unknown translator. Are you sure they are not making it all up?
The second way - a bit more risky, but much more exciting - is just to buy a plane ticket and go to the country to see it all with your own eyes. Yes, it's expensive. Yes, it's far away. But it will give you an experience you'll never regret.
Once you're here, you have the biggest advantage ever - you see real people around you, not those virtual mirages on the Internet. Faces are real, words are sincere, what you see is what you actually get. It's worth it, right?
How to treat your Ukrainian girlfriend
There, you finally met her. She's beautiful, clever and funny, her huge blue eyes are looking straight into your heart, and you're ready to do anything to make her love you. You want everything to be perfect. You have no room for a mistake. But do you actually know what to do?
There might be huge cultural differences between you and your new girlfriend. Some of them are funny, some are strange, and some may easily ruin your relation. There are several things you should pay attention to.
First of all, remember that in Ukraine girls don't pay for themselves. She won't share your bill in a restaurant, she will expect you to pay for her taxi back home, for train and plane tickets if you travel somewhere together. She might even expect you to pay for her purchases in a supermarket.
Sounds frightening? Don't panic. The main idea is not to spend enormous amount of money, there's absolutely no need. It's all about showing that she can actually rely on you and that you're interested in her. Sounds a bit ridiculous for a western mentality, but that's how it is in Ukrainian culture.
If the girl is serious about you, she won't let you spend much, even if you offer. Most Ukrainian girls know the real value of money, due to the poor economic situation in the country. And when you get to know each other better you'll discover that your girlfriend is actually much more frugal than it seemed at the beginning.
Another important thing to remember is that a man is always expected to be a gentleman. What does that mean? Open doors for the lady, take her coat, give her a hand when she's getting out of the car, pour the wine into her glass, carry her suitcase, and light up her cigarette. Sounds old-fashioned? Maybe it is, but it always makes the best impression!
If the girl is not the only one in your life, don't tell her that, even if you think that you "have no obligations to each other". Even if she understands that you're meeting others, it's still rude to talk about it. Most of Ukrainian girls are quite jealous, so don't give her a reason.
Try to make her feel secure about you. Trust and feeling of security are probably the main things Ukrainian girls are looking for in foreign men. She needs to feel that you are the man she can rely on, in both material and emotional ways. She needs to know that you're not going to suddenly disappear from her life for no reason. That you're not violent. That you're ready to support her when she's upset. It seems obvious to you, but it's not obvious to her. Tell her that she can trust
you.
And be patient. Whatever problem you may face, with some patience, reasonable efforts and a bit of humor you can always find a solution. Good luck!
